We’re known throughout the greater Baltimore area as a kid-friendly church. Here at Epiphany, kids are not merely “tolerated”. At our church, kids and families are nurtured and treasured. We are truly a family church.
Although our nursery is available for babies and toddlers, they are always welcome in our worship services. Several of our young families have remarked that our “kid-friendliness” was one of the major reasons they chose to make Epiphany their church home. Our Epiphany kids know and greet each other by name, and many of them have built friendships both in and out of church.
Accomodating Our Youngest Worshippers:
Worship Bags – Childrens’ worship bags are hanging in the foyer/narthex area. The bags are stocked with crayons, coloring pages, activity books, and Bible stories.
Children’s Art Table – Children are welcome to sit at the children’s art table at the front of the sanctuary. This allows them a close-up view of the service and altar, and also keeps little hands busy during the service. The art table is a popular spot with our preschoolers and early elementary-aged kids.
Foyer/Narthex area – Feel free to come and go as needed. A small table in the foyer area is provided, with puzzles and art supplies.
Meditation Room – Our meditation room, which includes an altar of remembrance and rocking chairs, provides a quiet and peaceful place for nursing moms and infants, though you are always welcome to remain in the sanctuary with your infant.
Playground – Kids love our outdoor playground. Your children are welcome to play, and it’s often filled with kids after church on Sundays, making a joyful noise unto the Lord!
