Our Mission – Epiphany Episcopal Church
The work of Epiphany Church is not about personal agendas; it is not about the strategic organizational mission of our congregation. Our work is about responding to the mission of God, as we’ve discerned it, sharing the particular gifts we’ve been given to meet the needs of the people in our greater Baltimore community that we are called to serve. Our ministries are in direct response to both the Great Commandment (Matt 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matt 28:16-20): Love God, Love Your Neighbor. Change the World.
We love God as we gather in Critical Mass for spirit-filled worship.
We love God through Tuning the Soul, singing a range of music in the Anglican tradition and beyond, from plainchant and Palestrina to spirituals and Taize.
We love God, Living by the Books, as we commit ourselves to ongoing Christian formation and life-long learning.
We love God, as we share the Time, Talent and Treasure (T3), we’ve been given.
Loving our Neighbor
We love our neighbor in powerful expressions of hospitality as we invite newcomers- the NKOTB (New Kids On The Block)- into full engagement of congregational and community life.
We love our neighbor At the Table, as we cultivate deep relationships through shared meals, fun, and fellowship.
We love our neighbor in good times and bad through acts of spiritual support and TLC (Tender Loving Care).
We love our neighbor, as we create intentional Christian community for young adults who are Spiritually Thirsty.
Changing the World
We change the world, when we engage God’s Kids through children’s Sunday school, in Epiphany’s daycare, and at Creative Kids Community Center in Cockeysville.
We change the world, when we Just Act (Justice and Action), moving beyond traditional models of outreach and charity to engage the transformative work of God.
We change the world through Youth Ministry at Epiphany (YME) as we support our teens, learning about faith and God, cultivating leadership, creating opportunities to serve, and having fun.
We change the world as we invest in people and inspire community through Neighbor-to-Neighbor (N2N), a homelessness prevention program for families in our Baltimore County community.
