Youth Ministry at Epiphany

Discover the divine in everything. Youth Ministry at Epiphany (YME) Baltimore engages 6th-12th grade teens in our community in the art of sacred living. Is it possible that God is always trying to get our attention? If we look closely, we can find God in all things, but it takes practice. It’s like if we want to drive a car, be a better athlete, or learn a new language. We have to exercise our faith to grow and strengthen it.

Creation Care- On the first Sunday of the month, 11:30-2:00, Epiphany youth care for creation through conservation projects, gardening, clean-up, hikes, and bike rides.

Critical Mass – Our youth assist in the leadership of worship as readers, acolytes, crucifers, choir members, instrumentalists and chalice bearers. They also help plan the liturgy for the Family Service on the last Sunday of the month.

Journey to Adulthood – For 6-8th graders on the first and second Sundays of the month (and on the fourth Sunday, when there are five Sundays in a month), we gather in the Upper Room at 10 a.m. for Rite 13, a Sunday School experience that will help you find your way through the challenges of middle school.

Audio Divina – In Latin, the term for sacred listening is (loosely translated) Audio Divina. We practice the art of sacred listening through Plugged In, YME’s monthly worship for youth (6th-12th graders). Plugged In is led by youth on the third Sunday of the month at 10:00 in the Upper Room. What songs stir your soul? Come share, and let’s listen together.

Lectio Divina – Join us as our 9-12th graders gather in the Upper Room for conversation and connection, from 11:30-1:00 on the second and third Sundays of the month. We practice the art of sacred reading as we delve into scripture and explore deep questions that will change your life.

Cinema Divina – What are the movies that keep you on the edge of your seat? The ones that make you laugh or cry? Come share, and let’s watch together. On the last Sunday of the month, following the 10:00 service, youth (6th-12th graders) practice sacred viewing with Cinema Divina. We gather for an afternoon of movies and conversation in the Upper Room from 11:30-2:00.
